Hi, Anna. You are most welcome to use excerpts from my blog as part of your story. I am grateful that you will be able to spread the word about the danger of Xylitol to dogs through your magazine. As for the osteoporosis, I am not suffering at all from it. Osteoporosis is an unusual condition, in that there are no symptoms--no pain--unless a fracture occurs. However, I am not just "living with it" either. I am working to reverse it and overcome it! :-) My next Dexascan is in November. I can barely wait to see what effect the OsteoDiet's combination of 80% alkaline and 20% acid foods, along with doctor recommended supplements, has had on my situation! Thanks for writing,

Kathy,

I'm so sorry to hear of your family's loss. Dale contacted me last week. We would like to use excerpts of your blog as part of the story we will do on warning our readers about Xylitol's affects on dogs.

Tell me please, technically - to describe osteoporosis - are you living with it, or suffering from it? I want to have the terminology correct.

Thank you,
Anna Cooke

Dale,
Thank you so much for your kindness and consoling words. It was indeed a horrible accident. Neil's wisdom and acceptance of God's will was an inspiration to me...and a great comfort. Neil and Mary's loving concern for me at a time when they themselves were suffering the loss of Shadow speaks volumes of the depth of their faith in God and love for others. I pray that God will bless them as their hearts heal. We are truly blessed to be their mothers!
God bless you, too.
Love,
Kathy

Kathy,
I am so sorry. We will all miss Shadow. He had always been my favorite "Grandpuppy" and I will miss him. Thank you for publishing this warning.
I hope everyone who reads it shares it with everyone in their contact list. It is even on SNOPES.com!
It was a horrible accident but, as Neil, says, "There is a reason for everything that happens."
God Bless you,
Love,
Dale
