For Teachers: Part 3 of Balancing School, Home, and Health – Creating the “Total To-Do” List
Ever have one of those nights when your mind is overwhelmed with trying to remember all the things you need to do the next day? Between school, home, and health demands, trying not to forget important events and duties–much less prioritizing them–can make you tired before you even get started!
The solution? The “Total To-Do” list! On a legal pad or in a notebook, write down everything you can think of that needs to be done. Everything! Leave nothing off the list, no matter how trivial it may seem. Keep the “Total To-Do” list on the nightstand by your bed at night so that, if you something else pops into your head that might keep you awake, you can write it down. Keep it with you during the day, so that if a new task comes your way, you can transfer it from your brain to the paper.
It is amazing how calming it is to carry this portable memory with you, releasing you from the strain of trying to remember, remember, remember.
