Here are two interesting, informative articles from WebMD sent to me by my friend, Rose.  The first article, written by Dr. Joseph Pizzorno, discusses the dangers of bisphosphonate drugs, which are commonly being prescribed by many doctors to fight osteoporosis.  In the middle of his article, Dr. Pizzorno, states, “Not surprisingly, hundreds of lawsuits have now been filed against the manufacturers of biophosphonate drugs, and a class action suit appears likely.”

Dr. Pizzorno lists these manufacturers of bisphosphonates:

  • Fosamax – Merck & Company
  • Boniva – Roche and GlaxoSmithKline, popularized by Sally Field commercials
  • Actonel – Proctor & Gamble Pharmaceuticals, Sanofi Pharmaceuticals
  • Skelid – Sanofi Pharmaceuticals
  • Didronel – Proctor & Gamble Pharmaceuticals
  • Reclast and Zometa – Novartis Pharmaceuticals”

In part 2, Dr. Pizzorno lists nutritional choices that benefit our bones.
