StretchingWhen I was first told by the nurse practitioner that my Dexascan indicated osteoporosis, she acted like I had been handed a death sentence!  Nothing could have been farther from the truth!

But you don’t have to take my word for it.  Here’s the definitive word from Dr. Susan Brown of BetterBones.com.  Just click on this link:

I was told I have osteopenia. I may need fosamax. It has terrible side effects. The nurse practitioner told me there’s a significant change in my Bone Density Test. I’m taking letrazole. which probably caused this. I’m very nervous re: this issue. I have GERD and am scared to take the med. The RNP was supposed to speak with my doctor, but so far no one has called. I was apprised yesterday

I’m sorry that I did not see your comment until yesterday. I am not a medical practitioner, and so I am not qualified to give you medical advice. All I can tell you this I refused to take Fosamax because of my concerns about the side effects and long-term effects of the drug. Perhaps you can see a naturopathic or holistic doctor in your area who can recommend natural remedies to boost your bone density. In my area, I see Dr. Steven D’Antonio.
