Breakfast: Scottish oatmeal with a sprinkling of allspice on a bed of 1 chopped apple with almond milk on top, raspberry tea with Beyond C powder, supplements
Snack: Banana
Lunch: About 15 Almonds – I was in a hurry.
Snack: True confession – My snack consisted of munching on the soup ingredients while I was preparing it for the crockpot.
Supper: Chicken Soup for the Body & Soul (see recipes), millet crackers, and 1 cup of strawberries with Soy Whip on top for dessert, water & lemon
Bedtime: Blueberry tea with Beyond C powder, supplements – One of my pills got stuck in my esophagus, so I had to eat a bite of banana to shove it the rest of the way down.
Breakfast: Kamut pancakes (Kamut pancake mix is available at DeLand Natural Bakery) with applesauce topping, blueberry tea with Beyond C powder.
Morning snack: Baby carrots and sunflower seeds
Lunch: Garden salad from Publix, containing romaine lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes, radishes, carrots, and chives.
Afternoon snack: Banana
Second afternoon snack: Apple
Supper: Tuna Salad made from a 5-ounce can of Albacore tuna, celery, one teaspoon of mayonnaise, and salt and pepper; a bowl of Amy’s brand organic “3 Bean Pasta” soup; Sesame bread stick (from DeLand Natural Bakery)
Bedtime: Blueberry tea with Beyond C powder and supplements
Combine in a plastic storage bowl:
2 oranges, peeled and cut into chunks
1 grapefruit, peeled and cut into chunks
1 tangerine, peeled and cut into chunks (optional)
Cover tightly and store in the fridge until needed.
In a large bowl, combine:
1 head of romaine lettuce, torn into bite-size pieces
1 medium onion, sliced fine and diced
3 tomatoes, quartered
3 stalks of celery, chopped
1 green pepper, seeded and chopped
1 large cucumber
3 tblsp. sunflower seeds
Serve as is, or measure out 4 cups of salad and place in a plastic bag. Continue filling plastic bags with 4 cups of salad until it is all used up. Makes a great lunch or an instant snack.
Combine in large salad bowl:
8 cups of romaine lettuce, cut into chunks
1 can of water-packed tuna, drained (6-1/2 ounce can)
1 onion, sliced and diced
3 tomatoes, cut into chunks
4 black olives, halved
1/4 cup of Italian salad dressing -or- olive oil & lemon dressing
Toss to coat well. Makes 4 servings.
Combine in large salad bowl:
4-6 cups Romaine lettuce
1-2 tomatoes, dubed
1-2 tomatillos, sliced
1-2 stalks of celery, diced
1 onion, sliced and diced
Top with salsa and lemon juice for dressing
Sprinkle with chili powder or cayenne pepper to taste.
