cookbook

Here’s the skinny:  It’s been more than a month since I’ve written because it’s been an extremely busy month, both at home and at school. As we’ve talked about before, when juggling priorities you sometimes have to let a few balls drop in order to keep the rest in balance.

However, the fact that I haven’t been writing, doesn’t mean I haven’t been thinking about you.  Actually, I’ve been thinking a lot about what would make it easiest for busy OsteoDiet readers to build bone consistently. What could I do to help all of us maintain a bone-healthy diet, as well as daily weight-bearing exercise?  I’ve come up with a few ideas, and I’d like to know what you think.

1)  If I compiled a hard-copy OsteoDiet Cookbook, would you be interested in buying one?

2)  If I created exercise DVD’s featuring weight-bearing exercises, including stretching, weight training, balance exercises, running/walking, or bellydancing routines, which of these  DVD’s would interest you?

3)  Would you be interested in reading a book that contained information about my journey, the alkaline diet, and research about bone strengthening?  If I did write a book about the natural approach to bone health, what else would you like the book to contain?

Your thoughts? I’d appreciate your comments.

Thanks!
Kathy

Kathy you are wonderful and yes to all three questions.
With question 2 I couldn’t choose because I’m interested in all types of exercises. The variety would be great.

I hope I’m not too late with my comments

    Thank you

    Kathy,

I’ve just discovered your website. I would be interested in both books. I would really like the cookbook to include a week’s (or more) worth of menus, too.

Thanks for sharing all of this information.

Thanks, Gail. I finished the first draft of the cookbook and sent it out to family and friends for input. They’ve given me some great ideas and suggestions for improving it, and I’m now working on including those changes. I will also include your suggestion to include menus for a week or more. Thanks for your input and encouragement!

I’d absolutely be interested in a cookbook and especially in a book about your journey. Thanks for blazing the trail and sharing your insights, Kathy.

Thank you for your encouragement! I’ve started working on both and plan to finish them by the end of the summer. I’ll keep you posted!

    Hi Kathy,
I would also be interested in a book and your recipes. Hearing about your story has helped me be more positive about the changes that I am trying to make in my life. I have to see a Hematologist this week because my blood work showed an elevated monoclonal IGM level. May have to have a bone marrow biopsy done also. I’m hoping that my prognosis won’t be too serious.

    • Kathy says:

      Hi Barb,
I will keep you in prayer regarding the monoclonal IGM level. I looked up the term and understand the possibilities you are dealing with. May God bless you with hope and healing in every area of your life. Thanks also for your encouragement about the book and recipes. I have started working on them and aim to have both ready by the end of the summer, before the next school year starts.

I’d get a few copies of the book. I know of a few people that would love to have this in a compiled form, both for the story, and also for the recipies.

  6. Kathy says:

Thanks for your encouragement, Matthew! I’ll get started on both the book and the cookbook.

I would buy both the book and the cook book. A book would help me understand the story and the science behind the natural approach to bone health. The cook book would help me put into practice daily the knowledge I’ve learned and the commitment I’ve made to my bone health. Through these books, just as I have with knowledge from this blog, I would share with my wife and three children (especially my two daughters) the importance of bone health. Thanks for your commitment, contribution, and courage.
