Lunch: Two bites of steamed salmon, celery and almond butter, tomato, V-8 juice

Snack: Apple, bottle of water

Supper: Out to dinner at Subway – 6″ tuna sub with lettuce, tomato, olives, green peppers, cucumbers, salt & pepper, water

Today I picked up the results of my bone scan that was taken last Wednesday. The results are mixed. My lumbar vertebrae are slightly stronger–which indicates that osteoporosis CAN be reversed! However, the hip bone (femoral neck) has deteriorated another level.

My husband and I have been discussing my options, which may include a job change or simply a change in duties at my present job. The main focus must be more time spent in heavy weight training to build the bone density in the hip. I will be seeing Dr. Rogers on November 21st. Hopefully, I will be able to see more clearly which course of action I should take next.

In the blender, puree:

1/2 cup of strawberries
1/2 cup of water
1/4 cup of whey protein powder
10 almonds

Pour into a bowl and serve with a millet cookie for a delicious dessert.

Lunch: Almonds, pecans, and carob chips

Snack: Sunflower seeds

Supper: Tacos: flour tortillas, small amount of maverick beef cooked in taco seasoning, stewed tomatoes, lettuce, soy cheese; water, for dessert – bowl of Fruity Protein Shake (See Recipes) with a millet cookie

Supper:  Tuna Salad (See Recipes), baked potato with Earth Balance buttery spread (from DeLand Natural Bakery), steamed broccoli, water, blueberry tea
